What is a wax melt?

Wax melts are scented pieces of wax that you put into the top of a wax burner, either ceramic or electric. Once the burner starts to melt the wax, your room will be filled with the most beautiful aroma. Wax melts have different benefits from candles such as being able to frequently change your scents and they have a much stronger scent release. 

 

How long do wax melts last?

Each section of our wax bars (roughly 10g) lasts from 8-12 hours. Some of the stronger scents last even longer. This can also vary depending on if you use a ceramic burner or an electric burner. 

 

What wax are your melts made from?

At Ivy Blossom we use soy wax, which we source from a local manufacturer. The Soy wax used is classed as vegan friendly and is palm free. We also use a range of mica, dye and glitter as well as fragrance oil and essential oils. 

 

How do I change my wax melts

When you are ready to change your wax melts we recommend to light or turn on your burner for approximately 30 seconds. This should be long enough for the wax to soften ever so slightly to slide it out of the dish. If it isn't quite soft enough, leave for another few seconds then try again. 

 

Are your wax melts pet friendly?

Although we take great care in creating our wax melts we are unable to confirm the safety towards animals. This is because our wax melts contain fragrance which can contain allergens and just like humans animals can develop allergies any time. We also use a range of essential oils for some of our products. All our products are CLP compliant so you can check here or check with your vet. We advise against using if you have birds/parrots etc.

 

Are your products pregnancy safe?

Our products are made with a range of fragrance oils and essential oils. It is known that some essential oils are best avoided in pregnancy while some have well known benefits. It is best to check with your health care professional if you have any doubts. We do not use any essential oils known to be harmful to pregnancy. 

 

Do you ship internationally?

We currently only ship to England, Scotland and Whales. We do have plans to ship further in the future so please watch this space.

 

Are your products vegan?

We source all our ingredients and packaging from vegan friendly and cruelty free businesses making our end products vegan friendly and cruelty free. Not only this, we try to be as eco friendly as possible. All our packaging is either biodegradable, compostable or recyclable. 

 

My product looks different to the photo, why is this?

All our products are hand made, therefore colours, shade and glitter used my vary from piece to piece. This adds to the uniqueness of our handmade products. 

 

Do you do scent requests?

If you can't see a scent you like, please get in touch. If you are looking for a particular scent for favours then this can be accommodated. 

 

What are your delivery times?

Please check our homepage banner for the most up to date turnaround times. These will however vary product to product. If you require custom items such as wedding favours, this requires at least a 2 week turnaround depending on volume of orders.
